INTERNATIONAL GENERAL STRIKE 14 NOVEMBER 2012 AGAINST THE FINANCIAL MARKETS AND EUROPEAN AUSTERITY AND PRIVATIZATION POLICIES

In the last few years, we’ve dealt with distinct changes in daily life with the policies of social and economic austerity and cut-backs, which have lead to a lowering of the quality of life in our society: the increase in the number of unemployed (close to 6 million in Spain, and 24.235 million in Europe) the privatization of education, healthcare, public goods, on top of social cuts and injections of public funds into private banks. All of these extreme austerity measures, imposed from outside, are being applied under reformist perspectives, but hide the radical depth of repression and restriction of rights of citizens and workers, and directly attack the welfare state and the freedoms of the peoples.

Like “The Shock Doctrine” (book/documentary) certain entities like the IMF, CEB, the World Bank, the OCD, the OMC, are dictating sentences being applied to Europe in the form of austerity policies, which oblige the citizens and workers to become detached from from their gold, property, and lands. These goods are acquired by the global oligarchy, which benefits enormously from the premeditated collapse of the economy of a concrete country.

We live in a “Democtatorship.” There is no right, under the concept of “Democracy” to the supplication of free peoples to political-economic laws which weakens their rights and state of welfare, being exploited in their labor. We live under the yolk of a Financial Dictatorship, based on speculation and usury, which profits off of the misfortunres of the global population. We are enslaved under a “Democtatorship” or Financial dictatorship disguised as Democracy.

For countries outside the EC, its entrance marked the gift of the keys to our chains, greedy minds, cold and calculating. Or, what is the same, the loss of monetary and economic sovereignty, subjugating countries firmly under Art. 104 of the Treaty of Maastritch, to paying a debt whose interest is greater than that which those countries paid previously to their national central banks. In order to solve the supposedly financial crisis, which has its origin in the capitalist mode of production, they aim to grow capital by raising the prices on the market, and at the same time lowering wages. Through the accumulation of capital for a few and condemning the people to borrow, to compensate workers’ loss of purchasing power through unaffordable financial credit resulting in a burst of the financial bubble. Creating for itself a new international market bubble, where the debts of the different countries come to auction for the great capitalist sharks who benefit from this opportunity to create international oligopolies.

The techniques of global empowerment on the part of the big financiers, debt ratings agencies, insurance companies, and participating governments, is the indebtedness of a country or countries selected as scapegoats in their secrete meetings like that of the Bilderberg or Club of Rome, among many others, through the execution of the methods that we’ve seen applied to Greece—and little by little, to Spain.

This economic-financial war, where the blood doesn’t yet flow through the streets, but where human suffering commences in the faces of evicted and ruined families in countries like Greece, Portugal, Italy, and Spain.

For this we encourage all workers to participate in the General Strike called fo the 31st of October, where we invite all to stop the gears which permit the functioning of this machine, called the Capitalist System. Considered by us as necessary, the International General Strike, dated for this upcoming November 14th, 2012, where it is demanded “No payment of European Debts!” The change of the roots of the current Financial-economic system, where citizens are rescued and not the banks who finance austerity measures imposed by the European Union.
